  • Welcome to Jasmine Photography!

Photography will always be a part of my life. A big thank you goes out to my grandfather and my parents for loving the art and exposing me to it at an early age. With over eleven years of professional shooting I enjoy seeing the happiness between two couples in love, the laughter of family and seeing a genuine smile emerge. It's also my job to make my subject look their best in camera. I will direct you for the best pose, put you in the best light, and we'll have fun the whole time!

Every click of my shutter creates a lasting memory for you and your family. The images featured here are how I see people, objects and places through a lens. Thanks for stopping by, contact me with any questions you may have. Enjoy!

Family Photos

Each year I donate a few gift certificates to different causes. Most often they are used to raise money at a school auction. This family won a portrait session. So we met up and walked around the beautiful park to capture some photos of them and the kids alone. I’m always entertained to see how children react or don’t to having their photos taken. I’m not opposed to capturing those silly faces and how much fun to have them look back on them when they are adults! Here are a few of my fav’s from the Danish Family shoot. Enjoy.

Sara + Zac’s Wedding

I think I mentioned a few posts back how I am not relating blog posting to writing a hand written letter. Well, this post is a short story wedding goodness! It’s funny how life kinda gets in the way of posting for me, since I’ve been wanting to share this wedding with you for a long time. Once reason I didn’t post it until now is because it was submitted to wedding magazines and they don’t like the stuff they publish to be all over the web. So it got tucked away for a bit. I’m a sucker for details and this had to have been the best detail wedding I’ve had thus far. I was thrilled to have Kate Kelly second shooting with me for the day.We always have fun when we can work together.

The Historic Deepwood Estate in Salem, Oregon was the backdrop for the event. Punch Floral & Event Design created a floral arrangement and table decor for the couple to share the day with family and friends. Sara and Zac’s vision had a lot of hard work involved up to the date. They built the door frames that they walked thru for the ceremony, creating a unique entrance. This was so hard to narrow down to show to you, below is what I feel tells a small story of the day. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy!

Real Estate Head Shot

Sometimes you just need a clean, simple portrait of yourself for promotional materials. That is what Greg of Greater Portland Real Estate needed. Into my new studio we went, snapped off a few shots on the clean white backdrop and then we took a few outside, cause I couldn’t resist!

It’s A Girl!

It’s always a treat for me to get to see my past clients. I photographed Jessica and Steve’s wedding about three years ago, they may correct me on that number! Time flies by and before you know it a new addition to their family has arrived. Cute Audrey entered their world in May. I headed over to their home to capture some photos of the newborn. We joked about how she would appreciate these photos when she gets older, you often feel like you are torturing the little ones when you dress them up! Enjoy.

Spring Family Portraits

Yes, I know. I am a bad blogger. I think once face book and twitter came along it took a lot away from actual blogging. It’s much quicker to post on either one of those, where putting together a post on a blog takes some time. In a world where everything is moving at us quickly, I think the blog post has become the handwritten letter! Just as email and texting have replaced the phone conversation. It’s not that I don’t have anything to share with you, I have a lot but get caught up in the daily tasks of running a business and yes, when I think about posting to the blog I often think, “that is gonna take forever!” Ha ha. So this is my attempt to catch up and share images with all of you.

This first post is from the Spring Portrait Special I did. Lots of fun and great weather, I mean better weather than we have had in weeks! Enjoy.
