Clayton + Heidi’s Engagement Session
Clayton & Heidi are getting close to their wedding day, August 14th. They are both friends of mine and I was excited to have the opportunity to photograph their engagement and soon their wedding day. Both were nervous to have their picture taken, Clayton ended up being more nervous than Heidi! Most people are because they don’t like other images that family or friends have shot of them. This is totally understandable. So we kept the shoot fun & relaxed, like I always do:) We had a great time shooting at Cathedral Park despite the rain that started as soon as I was heading out to the shoot. It was raining the whole session but they were troopers with the icky weather and did a great job. It’s a great location in St. John’s. Here are some of my favorite’s from their shoot. Enjoy and I’ll see you two soon!
Family & Senior Portrait Special!
The popular fall portrait special is back but this time in summer! Take advantage of the warm weather and update your family photos, have maternity images taken or just get shots of the kids. Just like the last special this is for one weekend only and limited spots are available. Here’s the nitty gritty details.

Don’t forget to book your session for your soon to be high school seniors portraits! Before you know it summer will be over (I don’t want to think about that either) and the new school year will have started. Have you son or daughter look like a rock star in their photos and wow all their friends when they go back to class. How does this happen you ask? With a talented team of folks that include Mandy Zelinka on hair, Jennifer Rand-Walker on make-up and yours truly behind the camera. Here’s the awesome package we’re offering. Don’t dilly dally though, space is limited for these sessions as well.

Emily + Nate Maternity Images
I was excited to hear from Emily when she contacted me to take pictures of her pregnancy. I photographed their wedding 3-4 years ago. (they’ll have to correct me on the exact number of years:) We set up a time and all they said is that they wanted an urban backdrop. Great! I absolutely love shooting urban images so we headed down to the Pearl District. I was happy they brought a few outfit changes, always good and fun for the session, these two are just too cute for words! They did great in front of the camera and I think Nate was really getting into modeling toward the end! The next day Emily found out she had to go in to have the baby so we shot them just in time! Congrats to both of you on your newest addition to the family. Enjoy some of my fav’s from their shoot!
Spring Wisconsin Visit
I flew home in April to surprise my dad for his 60th birthday. It was a really fun trip and it’s always good to go home and see family & friends. I always make sure to block out time to drive around with my dad to take pictures of the landscape and old, worn down buildings, cars etc. This takes me back to before I became a professional photographer and would just wonder around all afternoon exploring Door County and photographing my finds. I have always been drawn to gritty, dirty and rusty textures on buildings & cars but I also appreciate the simple and beautiful landscape that my home town has to offer. On this trip I saw more wildlife in a week than I remember seeing growing up there! I saw turkeys grazing on the side of the road, some hawks and four snakes. I almost stepped on a snake while walking to take a picture. I screamed out loud and jumped back when I saw him! Here are some images from my trip. Enjoy!
Hey, all these images are copyright Jasmine Photography 2010. Don’t steal them…it’s bad karma!
