There are so many that come through my email box that they often get deleted or passed over. One that I like to enter each quarter is the ISPWP. What is ISPWP? Here is a blurb from the website:

I’ll admit, it’s a little intimidating submitting your work with professional photographers from all over the world. If you have a moment look thru the winning galleries. There are so many amazing images from Russia and Italy.

I’m pleased that one of my images placed 12th out of 20 in the Engagement category. It’s of course from the fabulous Las Vegas engagement session I had with Paul & Nicole.

I met them as they were finishing up a drink and then we headed out to start the shoot. This couple is fun, nice, and stylish! I loved that they brought outfit changes, Dan had more then Courtney and was totally into putting together his ensembles! I love a man with style and how both of them coordinated but yet it didn’t feel matchy, matchy. Be sure to check out Courtney’s stunning blue eyes…they are amazing! I can’t wait to see them on their wedding day, which is coming up quickly. Here are some of my favorites from their session. Enjoy!

Her roses were amazing and she had one of the biggest bouquets I’ve ever seen! Brett is a Marine and his fellow Marines gave the couple a proper exit with swords raised and Nicollette receiving a slap on the butt with one of the swords welcoming her into the Marine family! They created customized coins for the guests to have as a wedding favors, another Marine tradition. After dinner everyone was welcome to a sword slap on the butt and the men headed down to the little red shed to crack open a bottle of rum and smoke some cigars. Everyone was so nice and Nicollette looked stunning as did Brett in his uniform. I could have took pics of them all day, the colors were so amazing! It was really hard to narrow down images to show on the blog. Here are a few of my fav’s from their day. Enjoy!

I don’t mean too but I end up getting caught up staying on top of my daily tasks, edits and getting them out to clients. So, I’ve been meaning to post the fabulous engagement session of Paul & Nicole’s. This really was a highlight for me to fly out to Las Vegas to meet them for the weekend and shoot their session in the city that never sleeps. Why Vegas you ask? Well, Paul is a fan of the poker tables and they try to go there as a couple every few months. They have favorite restaurants, a favorite hotel and have a great time coming back to them time and time again.

We shoot in and outside of the Venetian and the Palazzo. We headed out to the dessert for a day trip and visited the stunning red rocks. The weather was crazy that day. It was windy and very cold! They did such a great job not portraying the pain of numb feet & fingers! Visually, was in awe by the rocks. They let you hike up and in the rock formations-you could easily spend a whole day there. Then while we were at the bottom of one of the rock formations and the weather shifted, you could smell the rain in the air. We decided it was a good time to head out since flash floods are nothing to mess around with! After building up a big appetite we headed toward the strip and stopped off at In & Out Burgers to refuel. Then a quick break and an outfit change for the last shoot.

The last shoot of the weekend was a special one. They were able to get us into their favorite french restaurant, L’Atelier. I really wasn’t sure what to expect for a weekend engagement shoot but we had a great time and it was one of the hardest edits I’ve had to do! Here are just a sampling of some of my favorites from the weekend. Thanks for being great models Paul & Nicole, see ya soon for the wedding:)
