Branding & Content Photography – The importance of it

I often get asked, “What is branding and content photography?” or “I’m not an influencer. I don’t need personal branding images.” First, let’s address the obvious. Branding is your online identity. People buy from people. Not just services, but products too! Recognisable faces and experts or influencers in their field are a lot more likely to get a click than a picture or post from an unknown brand. And no, personal branding is not just your logo. Personal branding is creating awareness of who you are and what you do.  A good brand is about how your customers think about your brand.
For any business owner, branding photography primarily consists of a gallery of bespoke, personalised images and videos that help in self-promotion, increased visibility, and increased sales of products and services. To put it succinctly, any company that offers goods or services must have visual material to create brand awareness and attract new customers. Material that is specific to the brand’s voice allows it to stay consistent and true to its values. Images and videos must have a combination of team headshots, behind-the-scenes, sneak-peeks, product shots, your office/warehouse space, new and upcoming events or products, and how you co-work with colleagues or plan your day.
And that’s called branding photography, my friend. It is also sometimes referred to as a Business Headshot.

With this in mind, you need the branding photos that speak for you while you sleep. You can utilise the digital content gallery on your website, landing pages, email marketing, email promotions, blogs, social media and printed marketing materials. Just like Dawn has done on her website, www.scuseme.co.uk, she used the photos we took of her on multiple pages of her website and social media.

Personal Branding Photos in Use

"branding Headshot"     You can instantly tell her personality as soon as you look at her headshots. And that’s the power of personal branding photography.

Undeniably, the stress of running a business is overwhelming, let alone thinking about creating visual content to post daily. Do you have the time to create visuals on a regular basis to stay visible on social media? Is it only social media that you need the visuals for? Do you agree that there is more to online visibility? Telling your story in your own words is a unique way to attract customers. Creating visuals doesn’t have to be daunting or complicated. I’m here to help.

Service-based businesses leverage AI in their daily presentations and meetings, I am sure. Creating digital infographics and posters has been part of the corporate world since Microsoft invented them. However, what if your business needs a more personalised approach? Do you still ask AI to produce digital content for you? If this is the case, is this what your customers expect to see? How do people perceive you and your brand when they come across you online? Do those images represent you correctly? Always keep in mind that the first impression matters most, whether online or in person. I doubt AI can create images of your true self.
