Branding & Content Photography – The importance of it

I often get asked, “What is branding and content photography?” or “I’m not an influencer. I don’t need personal branding images.” First, let’s address the obvious. Branding is your online identity. People buy from people. Not just services, but products too! Recognisable faces and experts or influencers in their field are a lot more likely to get a click than a picture or post from an unknown brand. And no, personal branding is not just your logo. Personal branding is creating awareness of who you are and what you do.  A good brand is about how your customers think about your brand.
For any business owner, branding photography primarily consists of a gallery of bespoke, personalised images and videos that help in self-promotion, increased visibility, and increased sales of products and services. To put it succinctly, any company that offers goods or services must have visual material to create brand awareness and attract new customers. Material that is specific to the brand’s voice allows it to stay consistent and true to its values. Images and videos must have a combination of team headshots, behind-the-scenes, sneak-peeks, product shots, your office/warehouse space, new and upcoming events or products, and how you co-work with colleagues or plan your day.
And that’s called branding photography, my friend. It is also sometimes referred to as a Business Headshot.
